LCP is committed to providing an environmentally responsible, healthy, and safe workplace for all employees and guests.
We strongly believe that health and safety are everyone’s responsibility. Therefore, it is incumbent upon us to implement these initiatives in our daily business operations.
Maintain Compliance
We operate our business in full compliance with local, state, or federal Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) legislation, regulations, and applicable standards.
Establish EHS Objectives
LCP will establish EHS objectives and implement a regularly scheduled review process to evaluate the effectiveness of our efforts, as outlined in the company’s Management Responsibility document.
Evaluate Workplace Materials & Processes
Our team will proactively identify and assess the materials and processes used in the workplace, to determine how well they align with EHS objectives.
OSHA Annual Training
Lake County Press has partnered with OSHAcademy for occupational safety & health training. OSHAcademy safety training provides our employees, and our temporary labor, with occupational safety & health best practices and general guidelines for regulatory compliance.
The online training is self-paced which provides our employees the ability to learn in either English or Spanish at their own pace, complete knowledge check activities to prepare for their course test, and finally, complete exams and generate a PDF certificate.
The online portal provides our Safety Administrators with the capability to enroll NEW employees, assign courses, manage progress and setup annual refresher training.
Empower Our Safety Committee
Comprised of the Department Managers and Safety Liaisons, the LCP Safety Committee meet regularly to address potential safety hazards, emergency action planning and safety training progress. We recognize the valuable contributions of our Safety Committee as they continually evaluate the effectiveness of our EHS initiatives.
