Founded in 1920, and headquartered in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Snap-on is a leading American designer, manufacturer, and seller of top quality tools and other related equipment primarily used in the automotive, aviation, heavy equipment, and marine repair industries.
Challenges
Snap-on sells branded toolboxes for students in various automotive and other similar kinds of technical training schools. The toolboxes are designed to be specifically configured and branded for the type of trade school a student attends.
With Snap-on’s previous fulfillment partner, it took about two months to get toolboxes shipped from the manufacturer, branded and delivered to the company’s corporate office.
Snap-on also had difficulty ensuring that not only were toolboxes configured correctly for students, but also that branding graphics were consistent and in compliance with company standards.
In addition, the organization had a variety of other diverse needs, including printing, storing, and distributing marketing materials throughout the U.S. and Canada, producing wall murals, and floor graphics for their Wisconsin headquarters, creating and installing exciting vehicle wraps for sponsored funny cars, trucks, and trailers.

Toolbox Branding
To drastically reduce the delays and excessive transportation costs involved in procuring unbranded toolboxes from the manufacturer, LCP sends a company truck to pick up the boxes, and bring them to its Chicago area facility for branding.
Based on Snap-on’s needs, LCP expertly manages all toolbox configurations, as well as the creation and installation of branded graphics to align with each student’s specific area of training focus.
LCP ensures that all graphics and images used in the branding process conform to Snap-on’s strict standards of design styles and colors, especially its famous “Snap-on Red.”
When the branded toolboxes are completed, LCP delivers them to Snap-on’s headquarters in Kenosha, Wisconsin for distribution.
As a GRACol G7 Master Printer certified business, LCP produces and distributes beautiful brochures and catalogues for Snap-on throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Other materials and kits are also created and shipped, based on regional or sales force needs. As a part of its fulfillment and inventory management services, LCP keeps stock readily on hand for Snap-on, and can also produce new printed material on demand.
LCP is fully integrated into Snap-on’s business, and connected to the company’s internal intranet portal to efficiently fulfill order requests.
LCP helped Snap-on design graphics for wall murals and floor graphics for its corporate headquarters in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Once designs were completed, LCP expertly installed and continues to maintain these décor pieces for the company.
In addition, LCP designed and wraps Snap-on’s sponsored funny cars, as well as the team’s trucks and trailers. Several wraps are used throughout the year to keep marketing efforts fresh.
