Founded in 1890, Columbia College is a private educational institution that today has an enrollment of approximately 6,700 students. The school offers 60 undergraduate and graduate level degrees, and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.

Columbia College offers a wide variety of academic coursework and is organized into various schools, including music, business, communication, design, fashion, film & TV, theater & dance, and visual arts.

Challenges

With such a diverse offering of academic degree programs, Columbia College regularly sends out correspondence and mailings to students and parents, including welcome kits, acceptance/rejection letters, registration information, class schedules and more.

The preparation, fulfillment, and mailing of these communications was historically managed in house, which was time-consuming, inefficient, and not cost effective.
The Columbia College staff was printing, and storing a wide variety of materials and substrates, forecasting stock levels, and assembling mailings ranging from simple letters to full, multi-component kits.

The school had to find a better, more efficient, and budget friendly way to handle its ongoing print and fulfillment needs, while ensuring timely delivery to recipients.
