In the last quarter of 2015, LCP began our digital print expansion. Nationally known for our high quality and creative prowess in offset print, both UV and Conventional, LCP has been continually evolving into a leader in the digital web-to-print world over the past 10 years. As digital print has evolved, so has LCP. Ten years ago, LCP entered the digital print world utilizing, Kodak Nexpress technology. In late 2014, we replaced one of the Nexpress machines with an HP Indigo 7600. After much learning and experimentation, LCP made the move to replace all of our digital sheet-fed with HP Indigo 7800 technology. The digital sheet-fed department supports over 75 web-to-print customers as well as our job based customers. To accomplish this our team of press operators, prepress professionals, digital finishing crews, fulfillment coordinators and in-house programmers work together to produce on-line orders daily in order to meet the demands of our national customer base. The same crews coordinate the daily job production that is best suited for digital output. As you can imagine there is a constant buzz of work being produced and prepared for shipments around the clock.
As our digital footprint and store front capabilities continued to increase, LCP saw the need to expand into Grand Format Inkjet in order to meet the needs of our customers. The decision was made to provide this service but at the same quality level our customers expect from LCP. The installation of our EFI VUTEk GS3250LX Pro LED UV inkjet press took place in late November 2015. The department is now fully operational with the additions of sewing, laminating, and CAD based cutting and routing. This new service offering expands our ability to offer a single source provider relationship to our existing customers and opens up the possibilities of bringing new customers into our legacy services through their Grand Format needs.
Using the standards and practices of Idealliance, all LCP output is color managed utilizing G7 methodology. From proofs to plates, from digital sheetfed through grand format banners, your brand standard color is monitored and achieved. This assures, the brands that we represent, consistency across all media and substrates. Color management is one, if not the most important, aspect of being a brand guardian. LCP takes pride in the fact that many high end brands have chosen to partner with us and utilize ALL of our services. Our Brand Meets World tagline is a constant reminder to our shop that we are charged with making your brands first impression a hit and that each subsequent interaction meets the same established expectation.
Our expansion also includes a re-branded web presence at www.lakecountypress.com where prospects and customers alike will be able to learn more about LCP, our culture, services and most importantly the solutions we have helped our clients realize.
