LCP Welcomes Director of Color, Bob Hallam

LCP is pleased to announce the addition of Bob Hallam to our color management group. Bob brings with him an understanding of color that is arguably at the industries top level. While at Quebecor World, he became the only printer elected to the ICC (International Color Consortium) Steering Committee. The ICC Steering Committee is elected by the world wide ICC member companies and sets the direction for color standards by working with the industry to research, test and develop current and emerging color technologies.

Throughout his career, Bob has been an integral part of managing color and establishing color management solutions for brands including: JC Penny, Kohl’s, Sears, IKEA , Kroger, Lego, Crate & Barrel and many others. IKEA gives out Tulip Awards to the vendors that provide excellence in products and services, and Bob was only the second individual to receive this honor.

Bob holds a US Patent #8,953,219 Methods for determining printer adjustments to accommodate proof/print substrate color differences. (http://patents.com/us-8953219.html)
Aside from Bob’s ability with color science he is a artist and photographer which makes him one of the few individuals that bridges the art of color and composition with the science of color and reproduction. Being able to understand any color process from that perspective is unique and very beneficial when working with customers and the brands they represent. If you were to ask Bob what he does, he would say, “I specialize in Color from Capture to Consumer.”

Please join us in welcoming Bob Hallam to the LCP family!
