Waukegan, IL – Lake County Press, Inc. (LCP) takes 14 top awards at the Great Lakes Graphic Association (GLGA) 2017 Graphics Excellence Awards. A panel of independent out-of-state judges, with extensive experience in printing and production, offered critiques over two consecutive days in one of the largest printing competitions in the U.S.

The Best in Show winner will be announced on May 24th at the GEA Celebration to honor award winners. This year’s dinner will be held simultaneously in Milwaukee, WI and Addison, IL.
Each entry in the competition was judged on its own merit in a category of similar pieces. The criteria included registration, crossovers, clarity and neatness, sharpness of halftones and line art, richness and tonal qualities of color, paper and ink selection, ink coverage, difficulty of printing, effective contrast or softness, finishing, bindery and overall visual impact.
